What to Expect
Set off for seven days of incredible motorcycle adventure from Hoi An. Exposure yourself to Vietnam's wonderful cultural heritage, exotic foods, and marvelous people as you ride remote, well-paved mountain roads.
Experience the beauty of Vietnam’s rapidly disappearing wilderness, as well as the cultures of the people that call it home. Wind your way into the mountains, traveling along quiet roads, and enjoying breathtaking sights at every turn.
Spend a day with one of Vietnam’s most authentic hill tribes. Enjoy a short trek along the Ho Chi Minh Trail to remote hot springs and pristine rivers. Venture inside Asia's longest limestone cave. Explore old military bases from the American War. Visit famous historic sites, including the notorious Vinh Moc tunnels, and the ancient imperial capital of Hue.
Everywhere you go, you will find evidence of Vietnam's long and dynamic history as you interact with its colorful, friendly people. Add to that a warm tropical climate and totally new experiences around every bend of the road and you are guaranteed an experience of a lifetime.
Day 1: Countryside Riding: Hoi An to Ba Hon (Meals: L, D)
Setting off from Hoi An this morning. At midday, reach Ba Hom. Lunch will be served in the village followed by light mountain trekking. The route crosses over the original Ho Chi Minh Trail and leads to a therapeutic hot spring where you can swim and relax in the healing waters. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Co Tu feast.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh Trail: Ba Hon to Khe Sanh via A Luoi (Meals: B, L, D)
After breakfast in the village, ride to Khe Sanh. Traverse the historic Ho Chi Minh Highway through lush rainforests and over magnificent mountain passes. Take a refreshing swim in a mountain waterfall at midday and break for a picnic lunch. Ride through the A Shau Valley to arrive in Khe Sanh and visit the site of the former U.S. marine combat base.
Day 3: Hill Tribe Country: Khe Sanh to Phong Nha/Ke Bang National Park (Meals: B, L, D)
Obtaining special military permission, drive the remote western branch of the Ho Chi Minh Highway through majestic limestone karst and spectacular old-growth jungle. Follow the original HCM Trail through some of the most rugged terrain on Earth.
Day 4: Explore Phong Nha/Ke Bang National Park (Meals: B, L)
With a day free to explore Phong Nha National Park, take a morning motorbike ride to the Paradise limestone cave, Asia's longest limestone cave. After a traditional Vietnamese lunch at the National Park's restaurant, you can wander around the grotto systems. In the afternoon, travel to Dong Hoi for some 5-star luxury. (All day activities at Phong Nha are included in the tour price but participation is optional.)
Day 5: Tunnels and Trails: Dong Hoi to Hue (Meals: B, L, D)
Driving along HCM highway east, arrive at the Vinh Moc tunnels, where an entire village went underground in the 1960s to survive bombing raids. After exploring the tunnels, head to a local beach where you can cool off with a swim. After lunch, drive along the coastline, arriving in Hue late afternoon.
Day 6: Hue Countryside and City Tour (Meals: B, L, D)
Enjoy a comprehensive motorbike tour of Hue. Visits the citadel and royal tombs while riding through the city's back streets. A delicious vegetarian lunch prepared by Buddhist nuns is served at a local pagoda. After lunch, experience the rural surroundings of Hue, stopping to watch traditional handicrafts being made, as well as visiting some sites from the American war.
Day 7: The Coast Road: Hue to Hoi An (Meals: B, L, D)
Head east from Hue and travel parallel to the sea, passing through fishing villages and along pristine beaches for the first part of the drive. At the half way point of the drive, climb to Highway 1’s highest point, Hai Van Pass, where panoramic views of the coast are all around. The road then winds down toward Hoi An, passing through Danang and the famed China Beach.
Optional Abseiling at Marble Mountain on Day 7
Walk up Marble Mountain into the rappelling area, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes. The first rappel is a short walk from the practice area and enjoys a fantastic view of the ocean. This 22 meter line has great exposure, fantastic scenery, and makes you feel like you are much higher than you actually are. Then enjoy a thrilling final rappel; a monster 50 meter drop into a gaping hole so deep and dark that you can’t see the bottom. This fantastic cave rappel drops right out of the jungle down into a temple chamber.

Know Before You Go
If you are licensed to ride in your country, you can ride by yourself. Or, relax and allow an experienced motorbike driver take you.
Alternatively, you can ride on the back of a friend’s bike for only a small additional payment.
Tour departs with a minimum of 2 people.
