Düsseldorf: Ticket for Rhine Tower

Düsseldorf: Ticket for Rhine Tower

The Rhine Tower, Dusseldorf's most recognizable landmark, was created by architect H. Deilmann and built in 1982 on the edge of the city center’s southern district at the entrance to the Media Harbour. From the tower, you will experience the most breathtaking view of the Rhine Metropolis: the Media Harbour, historic city center, Hofgarten, Königsallee and the Rhine. If on the day of your visit the weather is clear, the view extends as far as the Cologne Cathedral.  Opening Hours:  Sunday to Thursday: 11.00 AM - 12:00 AM Friday, Saturday, and Holidays: 11:00 AM - 1:00 AM

Düsseldorf: E-Scooter City Tour

Düsseldorf: E-Scooter City Tour

Start the tour at the highest building in the city, the Rhine Tower. You'll soon feel safe on the Scuddy against the backdrop of the state parliament building and the spectacular Rheinknie bridge and can look forward to lots of fun. On top of that, you'll get plenty of Rhenish charm and humor from your guide. We do not offer an art-historical city tour, but a relaxed tour led by the guide with a lot of heart & local color (only German-speaking).  The tour begins with a ride along the Rhine. It takes you across the spacious Burgplatz square with the castle tower. Keep close to the Rhine to reach the Oberkassel Bridge and the venerable St. Lambertus Church in the old town with its leaning tower. From there, we explore Düsseldorf's living room, the Andreas Quartier. This is where living, art, culture and cuisine are beautifully combined. Continuing past the K20 art collection, the route leads us through the Hofgarten towards Kö-Bogen II, which currently has Europe's largest green façade. After a detour to the Schauspielhaus, we take a look at the Drei-Scheiben-Haus, an impressive piece of contemporary architecture from the 1960s. The route leads us slowly back through the new pedestrian shopping paradise Schadowstraße towards the Rhine promenade at a relaxed pace back to the starting point.

Düsseldorf: Climate walk

Düsseldorf: Climate walk

The tour starts at the tourist information, passes the grandiose Rhine panorama towards Schwanenmarkt and the world-famous shopping mile Kö. Not only are historical facts told in an exciting way, but a bridge is also built again and again to today's challenges of climate change - from urban planning measures of the past and the future to modern climate-friendly buildings and the role of green spaces and a contemporary tree population. The tour continues on foot to Kö-Bogen 2, the building with the largest green facade in Europe, via the Hofgarten with its cooling water areas and the opera house to Grabbeplatz, the end point of the tour. In about two hours, the climate walk not only brings participants closer to the city of Düsseldorf, but also shows how the city and the climate influence each other, what everyone can do, even in small ways, and what challenges we will face in the coming decades.

The views from the top were amazing. Bar and snacks at the top for purchase. Otherwise you can bring your own snacks and stay as long as you like. There are also free restrooms at the top.

My wish to show my grandchildren Düsseldorf came true with the visit to the Rheinturm. And the view from the Rheinturm was the highlight of the trip.

Very nice view with no time limit. We treated ourselves to a coffee and cake, of course it wasn't that cheap. The staff was very friendly.

A nice viewpoint in good weather. The visibility being excellent (storms the day before) I saw the Cologne Cathedral without any problem.

The view was much better than I expected and lots of places to sit and enjoy it too
