Worth every cent! What a fabulous tour! Our guide Sonny was brilliant, funny, informative and great with photo opportunities Hobbiton is beautifully kept, the countryside is stunning and we could’ve stayed there all day quite happily Well organised from the The Shires Rest Cafe, well stocked gift shop and excellent service. Highly recommend and will be back! A+++

Need to repaint all the props, looks like its used by date is well and truly used by. Weed everywhere in the hobbit homes and outside its gates. I felt a bit ripped off. The maintenance is a bit of a let down with the overgrown weeds. Tour guide lady was awesome, lovely and smiley explaining everything in detail. Drink in the green dragon was refreshing, it was great to sit in there. I feel a bit of a paint job for the props again would do it justice. Pass this on to Ian and Russell Alexander they need to know this. They probably need to hire more people to maintain hobbiton, get rid of the cobwebs on the lamps, the whole place needs a good clean up. I love the movie and books and it was great to be in hobbiton but it really needs a clean up, spruce up.

I was completely blown away at the and the picturesque farmland surrounding the film set, which had such a wonderful ambience, the sheep had given birth to lots of twin, and a few triplet lambs. Absolutely delightful to see how healthy and white they were. The little cottages were so tastefully painted in bright cheerful colours, and there were beautiful flowers and plenty of vegetables growing at many homes. Sir Peter Jackson has done NZ proud. The free drink and welcoming fire burning in the “Green Dragon Pub” was so attractive. There was an 11 year old Pub cat called Pickles, that was sleeping innocently in front of the fireplace. A MUST SEE Tourist attraction
