Full description

Discover the verdant beauty of the Mekong Delta on a day trip from Ho Chi Minh city. Travel in an air-conditioned minivan or bus and board a motorboat for a ride through islands on the Tien River. Enjoy a local lunch in an orchard and ride a rowboat under coconut trees on the Bao Dinh canal.

Depart from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel and head to the Mekong Delta by minivan or bus. Pass by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho.

Go by motorized boat on the Tien River to the Qui (Tortoise islet). See the fishing port, boat-building workshops, and the Dragon, Phoenix, and Unicorn Islet.

Walk into the village, where you can visit a local fruit garden and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Join in the daily activities that the locals do and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside.

Visit the bee house, and take a picture of the pythons. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.

The boat cruise will lead you through the Bao Dinh canal, entering Ben Tre province — the land of coconuts. Here you'll see a typical agricultural model called "Garden – Pond – Cage” before visiting the coconut candy-making shop.

Next, enjoy a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut trees. After your boat ride, take a bike ride around the island before returning to the bus.

Had a great trip with our wonderful and funny guide, Duc. It has a good amount of attractions on the way in My Tho as well as on the Mekong river. Overall a meaningful insight into the lives of the Mekong inhabitants as well as the general South Vietnamese lifestyle and culture. Great value for money. Would recommend.

Fa was a great tour guide for us! It was so amazing to go to so many different spots with local candy, food, and fruit. Our favorite part was the meal by the river and the rowboat, which were delightful. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting - it gave us such a unique look at Vietnamese culture and history!!

The tour was awesome - Alex was a super funny tour guide which made the whole day very entertaining. At the same time he told us a lot about Vietnames culture mixed with fun facts. If you want to visit Mekong Delta, you should definitely do it on a tour with Alex!
