What to Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels, also called Iron Land, is a huge system of underground tunnels which stretches over 250 km. The network is like a secret city to support the Vietnamese in times of war: storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals and also included are specially constructed living areas, command centers and innumerable nightmare trap doors to defend itself.

Today, Cu Chi Tunnels has become a major attraction, giving tourists an unique experience, true feeling of what underground life is like and the strong spirit of all Vietnamese who died for the motherland. During the American War, the entire area of Cu Chi was designated as a free fire zone and was therefore, heavily attacked and bombed. In 1988, two sections of tunnels were opened up for visitors. Now you have the chance to enjoy this wonderful and informative experience. Created with "moving parts," these structures were designed to be liveable for long periods of time.
