It is a busy time! We had so many experiences, thought some would be silly, but enjoyed it. Local candy making, local rice noodle making and the floating market were highlights. Hotels were quoted as 2 star, they were way better than that. The first night was a nice three star, the second night was even better, as we had a balcony over looking the river. The boarder crossing was made very easy by the guide on the boat!

We had a lot of fun on this tour and were really pleased we'd chosen to do it on our way into to Cambodia. We particularly enjoyed boat trips to the mangrove and floating market, as well as our chance to cycle along the river on day 2. The visits to local businesses were also pretty interesting. The boat onto Cambodia got us there around 30 mins after our expected arrival, but it was comfy enough. You do have to wait for a fair bit at the border checks sadly. The lunches that were provided were good, the hotels and cities we stayed in were decent enough (fyi day 1 was better than day 2). Also our guide Joe was lovely. Really funny, very personable and knowledgable. Top marks for him. In terms of downsides you do spend a fair bit of time on the road ( which can't really be helped) and there are likely to be quite a few people on it (which can slow things down a little).

Would fo it again

We made this tour with our children( 12 and 15). It was the best way for us to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh. In this short time we could see and learn much about the people and the country. Yes of course, you have a bit merchandising there, but it’s ok. We had a very smart guide ( I think Dong was his name) and he explained everything to us. Food was very good on this tour and the hotels were ok. So I really recommend this tour.
