Enjoy a fascinating half-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City to the Củ Chi tunnels. These tunnels were integral to several military campaigns during the Vietnam War and were the Viet Cong's base of operations during the Tết Offensive of 1968.
What to Expect
The Cu Chi tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during the Vietnam war. They also served as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance of American forces. Today they form part of a 75 mile long war memorial park preserved by the Vietnam government.
The tour begins with a pleasant drive from Ho Chi Minh City, through pretty countryside before arriving at the Cu Chi tunnels. Before entering the tunnels, you'll watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. You'll then spend the next hour exploring the fascinating maze of tunnels. Your knowledgable English-speaking guide will bring this incredible period of history to life with many stories and anecdotes.
