Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels to explore one of the great monuments of the Vietnam War and experience everyday life in the Mekong Delta on 2 day trips from Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 1: Cu Chi Tunnels Morning Tour
Explore the network of tunnels used by the Viet Cong in Cu Chi and learn how they changed the course of history during the Vietnam War. Journey by private vehicle past rice paddies and ducks and water buffaloes swimming in the rivers.
Then, venture underground and walk through the tunnels on arrival. Experience what life was like for the Vietnamese soldiers, and try to cook with the smokeless stoves and sample some of the food the soldiers lived on. Brave the shooting range and fire an AK-47.
Day 2: Mekong Delta Full-Day Tour
Travel by bus to My Tho. Marvel at the landscape on the scenic drive and visit the Vinh Trang pagoda temple along the way. Then, journey along the Mekong River by boat to see the typical floating houses and fishing nets.
Disembark at a coconut island in Ben Tre, where you can stroll around the village and stop at a local family home to try some tropical fruit, honey tea and honey wine. Learn how coconut candy is made before going to a restaurant for a Vietnamese lunch. Get some free time to take a short bike ride before traveling back to Ho Chi Minh City.
