Very good guide, she couldn’t have been more accommodating, from start to finish she was very helpful, informative and engaging. Thought the tour was well worth going on. Although the subject matter was challenging at times, I felt we were given a comprehensive historical perspective on what took place in Hiroshima and the impact that it had on its population. I would highly recommend this tour.

Full description

Start with a visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to visit the A-Bomb Dome, a memorial in the ruins of a building damaged by the atomic blast, which is now the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. Learn about the tragic effects of nuclear warfare and the importance of peace. Then, travel by ferry to Miyajima Island, a small island in Hiroshima Bay, the site of the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine. See the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous red gate that appears to float in the sea. Finally, enjoy Indian curry (vegetarian options available) for lunch.
