Hilton Head Island: Round-Trip Ferry Ticket to Savannah

We had a wonderful trip to Savannah. The ride was very enjoyable, with plenty to see. The captain and crew were great. There is a snack bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and coffee, and rest rooms below deck. I wish we would have known they sold trolly tickets on the boat at a reduced rate, and the trolly is waiting for you when you get off the boat. We wasted a little time trying to find our prepaid trolly. There isn’t a whole lot of time in Savannah, about 3 1/2 hours. It gives you about enough time for a narrated trolly ride that has about 14 different stops, and lunch. The trolly drivers are very informative and tell interesting stories. The houses and squares (little parks) are gorgeous. If you really want to see the city, you need a couple of days there.

Our Hop On Hop off bus was very disappointing. Our driver didn’t know the route and we went around one block three times. He called in for directions and then he still didn’t know where he was going. We just asked to get off and then walked the rest of the time we had before we needed to be back at the boat. I didn’t get him name or I would have wrote to the Hop on hop off.

Nice ride down and back. Not enough time in Savannah to do much of anything on foot. Took the bus tour which was great but we realized that we would need much more time in the city to properly see everything. Great ride and a good way to see Savannah just enough to decide if you want to come back.
