Pickup will be arranged from your hotel in Ella. Begin your journey with a comfortable ride to Udawalawe National Park, where your safari adventure awaits.

Once you arrive, you'll embark on a thrilling safari in a 4x4 jeep guided by an experienced naturalist. As you traverse the park's diverse landscapes, keep an eye out for elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. The park's rich biodiversity promises a captivating experience.

Next, visit the Elephant Transit Home, where you'll witness the heartwarming sight of baby elephants being fed. The transit home operates feeding sessions at 10:30 AM, 2:30 PM, and 6:00 PM, allowing you to see these gentle giants up close and learn about conservation efforts to protect them.

Afterward, enjoy the serene beauty of the Udawalawe Reservoir. This tranquil spot provides stunning views and a perfect setting for relaxation and photography.

My day was good and bad. The driver picked me up right on time at my hotel. I really liked the park. I saw a group of elephants that stayed near the car for a long time, and you could see the wild elephants up close. The jeep ride was safe. We had a guide, and it was up to us whether we wanted to tip him afterwards. The guide told us about the park in simple terms. He constantly asked us what we knew, which made us feel like we were in elementary school. Finally, the guide annoyed me for half an hour because he wanted my phone number, even though I said "no" clearly countless times. After a long time, I gave it to him just to be left alone. He was not an asset but exhausting, and I blocked him on my phone afterwards because he tried to call me several times without asking.

Great trip. Our driver for the day picked up from our hotel in Ella and took us to Udawalawa national park where we met our private safari guide who took us on a 3-4 hour safari. We saw several families of elephants, getting quite close for photos. We also saw other wildlife including eagles and other birds. It was a great safari experience in a traditional safari jeep. Our driver then took us on to Mirissa dropping us off at our next hotel. Thanks for a great day
