Its lined design repeats one of the old nautical maps and consists of 1200 pieces. You can visit it for free from 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM daily

Make sure you get there early! You won’t see the full museum at a good pace, if you get there 2 hours before. 1 - 2 o’ clock is a good time. Definitely go on the ship.. a cool and great peace of art and depiction of pirate ships or ships made during that time. Definitely visit the cafe too great food and drink or snack.

Magnifique bâtiment restauré avec gout et sobriété, à elle seule la verrière de la cour intérieure vaut le détour. La collection de maquettes de bateaux est superbe, et la salle sur la navigation présente une collection de sextants remarquablement mise en scène. La réplique grandeur nature du bateau ajoute beaucoup à la visite, la séance de réalité virtuelle bien que trop courte est très bien réalisée, ludique, et permet d’avoir un aperçu de l’activité du port au 17ème siècle.

Nous y sommes allés avec des enfants de 10 et 14 ans. Mis à part l'expérience de réalité virtuelle vraiment sympa (mais courte, elle dure 5 minutes), le reste du musée ne les a pas passionné car il est, forcément, fort spécifique et donc quand on est pas passionné par le thème, on se lasse rapidement de voir 20 sextants, 30 boussoles différentes etc ... Cela dit le lieu est vraiment très beau, propre et accueillant. Si vous avez une passion pour les objets liés à la marine, allez y !
