Full description
Explore Herculaneum, Pompeii's sister city which was destroyed in the same devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Located even closer to the treacherous volcano, Herculaneum was actually better preserved due to the different quality of the ash which buried it. Besides this, Herculaneum was a wealthier town, meaning the remaining architecture and decorative elements are more lavish and impressive.
Take advantage of a site that is easier to explore due to its smaller size and greater accessibility. Two wheelchair ramps lead to an accessible bridge that allows you to cross over the ancient Herculaneum shoreline and into the city. Herculaneum provides step-free access to many of the ancient streets, sidewalks, and buildings so those with restricted mobility will be able to explore the highlights of ancient Roman fishing town.
Individual pickup/drop off and private round trip transfer with wheelchair accessible vehicle and professional driver will be provided.
