En route to a well-known and multiple-award-winning winery from Heraklion you’ll enjoy a drive along a route lined with vineyards and olive groves.
You’ll be taken on a tour of its vineyards followed by an unforgettable wine-tasting experience. Taste 6 quality wines, with snacks to accompany the tastings.
Afterwards you’ll ascend to the Lasithi Plateau, reaching an altitude of over 800 meters. See the windmills that act as water pumps, helping with the cultivation of this fertile soil. Enjoy the views from one of the first wind parks in Europe.
Visit the Cave of Psychro, a site of archaeological importance and great natural beauty. The Minoan and Neolithic artifacts excavated from the cave during the past century are exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.

Know Before You Go
The 20-minute climb to the Cave of Psychro is quite steep and could be difficult for anyone who is not fit. Donkeys will provide assistance for an additional fee of €10.
