What people are saying about Heraklion

The host Gregoria is a hoot!! There are 2 guides and Hotdog, a little canine that also accompany you on foot and a driver too for a small wagon. The horses are beautiful and well cared for. My only negative about the tour is that the route is on a paved trail and much of it through a commercial area when leaving the farm. The ride is only a couple of hours round trip but the view at the top is lovely, agricultural and overlooking farms & meadows. Once back at the corral, a wonderful Farm-To-Table lunch is served family style with local produce, bread and wine. Delicious and ample!! We also did the beach/sea ride as the owner also has a corral down by the sea. Wonderful!!

This was a great experience. We were in Crete for 5 days and unsure of what tours to take, but I would recommend this tour to see the other side of the island. Our guide Stelious (I think) was fantastic, he was funny and educational. The tour had quite a few stops to break up the driving and enjoy some of the scenery. We decided to rotate the seating as it would be a bad situation if you were always stuck in the back 4 seats for the duration. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Crete for the first time.

We had a great time with our driver “Gary the Goat Killer”. Did everything he could to keep us occupied and informed. The sights, driving, lunch were all great. Only downside was the stop at the Cave of Zeus. Did the climb up to it. Couldn’t get in as the cue was too long for the time allowed. So it was a waste of time and energy. For those who couldn’t make the climb there wasn’t much to see or do for the hour we had at the stop. May be worth dropping that part of the tour.

The destinations are breath taking, there's no need for any more word. But the tour is definitely not 12 hours and wasn't on time. I was supposed to be picked up by 6:40, but the bus arrived at 7:10, and I wasn't dropped off until 21:00. I recommend this tour to anyone who isn't mobile, but if you could, just rent a car and drive there yourself. Also the guide wanted to charge me 17e for the ship, while the tour manager told me it was 16e, which was sketchy.

Great tour, offroad truck will pick you at your hotel and you can explore the most beautiful parts of Crete, you can experience the Greek/Cretan hospitality in small towns inside the island. Michalis (Sniper) is a great guide!
