We had been to Fremantle several times but hadn’t bothered about Rottnest. The locals will tell you not to bother, especially in the busiest and hottest time of the year. January 5!! Too hot for us to bike or walk around so we took the air conditioned coach . 1:45 minutes tour. Our tour driver was fun and very informative , showing us the sights and sharing information about the history and present day of the island. There is a 4 hour bus option with lunch included which I would recommend as you would see more in depth . Well worth the time and money

The Grand Island Tour was really thorough. We saw what we felt was the whole coast line. Guide was full of knowledge. We had a 6 yo with us, I felt the tour was a bit long for him, he fell asleep on the bus leg of the tour. It was a shame there wasn’t time for a quick swim at the end… the beaches were stunning.

Ted, our tour guide/train and bus driver, and the volunteer at the tunells and big gun (I'm sorry - her name escapes me) were exceptional! So knowledgeable and excited about the topics which made us want to learn more and visit again. Lunch was delicious also!

Ferries well maintained, the staff friendly and helpful. Great commentary during the trip

Friendly crew, even will take care of small details like sunscreen lotion!!
