Private Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach Tour

This day trip from Reykjavik takes you along the entire south of Iceland and the tour takes roughly 15 hours to complete. Some of the most scenic locations in Iceland can be found on this route so doing a private tour with some added flexibility is a great option. There is a fair amount of driving involved but the journey itself is more than worth it. Travelling on the Ring Road from Reykjavik we go through some of the most scenic areas on the south coast of Iceland, including the Eldhraun Lava Field, Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Skógafoss Waterfall, Vík village, Skaftafell and Öræfajökull, highest mountain in Iceland and countless others. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon in Vatnajökull National Park stands out like a massive jewel forged with ice and fire and is an absolutely mind blowing experience. It is everchanging with the drift ice coming from the glacier and in fact growing every year so never quite the same. We offer the option to take the amphibian boat trip out among the white and blue icebergs spotting new shapes at every turn and the heads of seals chasing fish into the sweet water. And do not forget to check out the Diamond Beach at the mouth of the short glacial river where crumbling bits of transparent ice sparkle in the black volcanic sand. Please be aware that there are numerous natural treasures along this route, and we may not have time to explore them all. The guides and the organization were really great. Even if you participate alone, you are given the feeling that you are not alone. I was able to book spontaneously and that was only possible because the company and the staff took such great care of it. You see great places and learn a lot. The level of the hike is easy, but you must not forget that how well you progress also depends on the group. I would book a more physically demanding and longer tour next time :)

Hanna was the best tour guide! She kept the whole tour mesmerised by her knowledge! So glad we stumbled across this find whilst visiting the American bus cafe Would recommend 10/10!

Yanis our guide was very good. The hike took place in the snow, it was the last day of the excursion and Yanis helped me a lot because it was very slippery. I recommend this company

Stefan was a very chill and funny guide. He was clearly very knowledgeable and had interesting insights into the Icelandic history. Would recommend the tour again!
