Noel was a real dream. Lived experience of the Troubles with a well-informed background and an easy delivery style.
This was my first visit to Derry and I was on my own . I knew the basics of the story of Bloody Sunday ,but came away from this tour with a fire in my belly for the beautiful people of Derry and an ache in my heart about the cruelty and injustice at the hands of the Brits . John was an amazing tour guide who knows first hand of the atrocities ,and this helped me to learn more about how things happened. Thank you !!!!! 💚☘️
This is an excellent in depth tour of the events of Bloody Sunday. Noel, our guide could offer first hand experience having been present on that day. It was without a doubt a very moving experience to watch a guide relive events from 53 years ago.
Noel told a spellbinding first-person story of how the events of Bloody Sunday unfolded. To hear from someone who was an active participant in the protest that day was profoundly moving and helped us better understand the motivations and actions on both sides.
John was an outstanding tour guide. He spoke clearly and was easy to understand. His knowledge of the events around Bloody Sunday was no less than amazing. It was the most emotionally moving tour I've ever experienced.
Very interesting, the guide not only provided person information about his experience living in Derry at time, but lots of history about Bloody Sunday and the aftermath. Excellent
Our guide Noel was excellent. He had a lived experience of Bloody Sunday which added depth and knowledge to the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to understand the background and context of the civil rights movement. it was an added bonus to see a protest outside in support of Gaza. I am a wheelchair user and the tour is accessible. It does involve ccasionally crossing roads without a pedestrian crossing but cars were super patient and Noel pointed out drop down kerbs etc.
The information about the event. Our guide had his brother killed that day You really start to understand what lead up to this day . One of the best walking tours l have been on.
It was great! Guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the events that took place
