Highlights
  • Visit the Kruger National Park, the largest game reserve in South Africa, and one of the most respected in the world
  • Listen to the cicadas and the cry of the fish eagles from an open safari vehicle
  • View the Big 5, upclose and personal, in an open safari vehicle
Full description
The highly experienced field guides will share their knowledge of the 147 species of mammals, more than 500 species of birds and 336 species of trees which make this 2 million hectare space their home. The recorded presence of man – including bushman rock paintings and archaeological sites, are conserved along with the Park’s natural assets. If time permits, at least one of these will be included in the trip.  From an open safari vehicle, you can smell the dust and the sun-warmed grass, listen to the cicadas and the cry of the fish eagles and enjoy the heat of an African day. However, you are also able to choose a safari in a closed, air-conditioned vehicle. This is a pleasant and comfortable option especially in very hot weather, for older guests and for families travelling with young children.

We absolutely loved our full-day Safari at Kruger National Park. We were picked up at 5:30 and taken to the park at sunrise. Our guide Edward Thembo was a very amazing guide. He told us interesting fun facts and stories. We loved listening to his 19 year experiences. What was also very good was the fact that he took us to places most likely to contain the big 5. He even spotted a leopard in the bushes and no one else could! He literally drove past and reversed. It was magnificent as it walked right in front of us! Or guide actually made the safari so fun and a beautiful experience. Honestly he had such a great laugh and made the trip so enjoyable. Thank you so much! If you ever book, please ask for Edward Thembo! ☺️

My boyfriend and I booked a full day safari. The Kruger National Park is stunning! Our guide Gaven was fantastic. He knew where to drive and told us a lot about the animals. He could answer any question and tried really hard to find the big five for us. We saw lions, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, monkeys, buffalos, different kind of bocks, turtles and even a little crocodile. My boyfriend and I would rate both 5 stars each :-)

Our guide Edward was fantastic, knowledgeable and a good communicator!

We had a fantastic day. Edward collected us at 5.15am and we were in the Kruger Park when they opened at 6.00 am. We saw a buffalo within minutes and then Elephants and a Rhino within 30 minutes (3 of the big 5). Cats proved harder to find but we saw a lioness crossing the road by and then a group of lionesses with cubs by midday. Then in the afternoon we saw 4 young lions eating a buffalo kill, lots of Elephants crossing the road in front of us and much more. No leopard today, but who cares? I would recommend this tour to anyone!
