What people are saying about Hawaii Kai
Tour itself was great. But I have a thing I really want to complain. Your tour says hotel pick up and drop off, but the guide left a message to the hotel(Coconut Waikiki) that I should wait for the bus in front of Ohana hotel. It was heavily raining although it was like a shower when I left for the Ohana hotel. On the way back to the hotel, there was a severe traffic jam and it was raining again. The driver said ' Your hotel is almost there, so It would be earlier for you to get off the bus and walk to the hotel.' Your commitment of hotel pick up and drop off was a lie! If there is an exception, you should say it on the ad. I seemed that I was the only one who were treated like that. Is this only the driver's fault or your company's attitude?
I went on that tour because I wanted a tour different from the tradionnal tours. And, I have not being disappointed. D"Jay Guy did a fantastic job; not only I discovered Oa'hu island (Hawaii) rather I enjoyed every moment of the tour. D'Jay Guy took us to places and help us how to take neat memorable photos with his help. Also, D'Jay Guy told us about the island and, it was nice to be talking to him about it. A plus to the tour is that the van can accommodate only 8 people so it is less commercialized that any other ""tourist' tour.I Thanks to D'Jay Guy! I strongly recommend the tour to any person visiting Honululu island. Anne (Canada)
The driver was informative and very helpful. He even went above and beyond to get me to my new hotel at the end. The tour goes all around the island and I saw a lot in one day. But some stops are brief, so I felt bad for the folks who sat in the back because they had to wait a while for the slower people to get off. If the bus had a door in the back it would have been better.
The guide Sergio was well versed and personable keeping the group informed and entertained at all times during the tour along with the expert driving of Damian. The tour was well paced and the lunch was exceptional at the North Shore Farm. There was plenty of time to kayak/paddle board and take photos. Hanauma Bay was a perfect culmination to a lovely full day.
Our guide/driver Keou (sp) Low was fantastic! He did a great job of interacting with all participants, getting everyone involved in discussion/conversation during the trip. He shared a great deal of Oahu knowledge, personal experiences, and even serenaded the group with the Hawaiian version of 12 Days of Christmas.
