What people are saying about Havana

Very enjoyable day. Very beautiful scenery.

Jesus my driver was a nice guy but he had hardly any English so communication was a bit difficult. Fortunately, Marilyn my guide at Viñales spoke good English. The tour started with a horse ride to a place where I learned about cigar production (and smoked one), as well as coffee bean, rum and honey production; all very interesting. I had a tasty lunch at a finca with locally grown food, although I thought it was far too much for one person; the views here were spectacular. Next came a boat trip in an underground cave, a visit to a gigantic, brightly-coloured, mural depicting prehistoric animals, and a visit to a botanic garden containing many varieties of flowers and fruit. I was impressed with this tour because I saw some beautiful countryside and saw how different products are made, and the local people were very friendly. I would have preferred if the tour was just a bit shorter; I didn't leave Viñales until nearly 6pm and there was still a long journey ahead of me.

Prompt and perfect airport transfer from Havana airport to Varadero

I had concerns because of the different reviews I read prior booking this activity but I am happy to say that my experience was excellent! Firstly, look for Nexus (rather than Amigo tours) and a rep in an orange shirt - the representative was there waiting for us despite our flight was delayed. This made very good impression on us. Bear in mind that this is shared airport transfer so you may need to wait few minutes for the rest of the passengers but this is okay since we booked shared and not private transfer, in our case our wait time was 10-min. The bus was good with AC (a luxury you may not always get in Cuba). There was a rep that explained how the transfer will work and when the order they will drop us off in so we were keep informed during the entire trip. Overall excellent experience and would recommend it - do not have any doubts and again bear in mind it is a shared transfer!

This experience felt like what we'd do with friends

This tour was such an enjoyable and relaxing way to spend half a day in Havana. Our group of five had a really personalized experience that combined a lot of information about how folks in Havana live and a primer on Cuban culinary staples and home cooking techniques. Cooking and sharing a meal together with lots of time to just sit and talk with the guides felt more like a cultural exchange than a traditional guided tour. We never felt rushed or talked at. La Gorgola was a cozy, pretty hostel that felt like a friend's home. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount of time and effort as well as the meal we had, which was delicious and generous, including plantains two ways, vegetable soup, yuca, rice and beans, pork, dessert and coffee. We were also offered cocktails. We'd definitely recommend this tour.

A wonderful and versatile tour through an amazing city in Paradise!!

The tour with Ileana was definitely amazing! I think there was almost nothing left which we did not see. She showed us everything in Havanna - not only the hot spots but also some hidden and beautiful spaces. Also, Ileana has a lot of background knowledge and she kept telling things about the history and the life in Cuba. The day was well spent and once again I would like to say a big thank you for the tour and the great recommendations. Ileana is a really open person which loves to tell stories about her city and that is what made the tour so unique. I’d love to see her again and wish her the best of luck with all the other tours ahead! Lots of love from Germany :)

We had a very pleasant experience with our guide around Cuba.

Our guide, Salia, was a very sweet, informative guide. She took us around to see many of the popular sights. We got to see the squares, monuments, mingle with some of the people, and got to go inside the beautiful cathedral. We really enjoyed our walking tour. Wish the weather would have cooperated alittle more, but that couldn't be helped.
