1. Chamonix: Full-Day Cable Car and Train Tour from Geneva

Board a bus from Geneva to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, and in 90 minutes, arrive at this Alpine village to discover the beauty of the mountains. In the morning, ride up the cable car to the summit. At more than 3842 meters, be impressed by the Majestic Mont-Blanc and all the peaks around you. If you are feeling adventurous, take a breathtaking step into the void. Three glass walls, the glass floor, and glass ceiling panels give you a unique experience enhanced by 1000 meters of free air directly under your feet, in total safety! Look around and admire the highest peaks in Western Europe, and view the Bossons Glacier, with the greatest descent in Europe, from a dramatic perspective.  Snap some incredible landscapes from one of the numerous panoramic terraces, or warm your hands around a coffee from the shop. Head back to the village, and take a freetime to put your sensations back together before you take the Mountain train Montenvers to discover the Ice Sea. This is the largest glacier of France, featured in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Take the steps down to visit the Ice Caves. Private Trip From Geneva to Chamonix & Montreux

2. Private Trip From Geneva to Chamonix & Montreux

Begin the delightful journey from your hotel, then sit back, relax and enjoy the impressive views of Swiss countryside as you cross the border to France through the Arve Valley along the River Arve. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as you arrive at the remarkable Chamonix-Mont-Blanc – a well-known ski and holiday resort, where the first Winter Olympics was held in 1924. In Chamonix you will have leisure time for exploring the town on your own, gazing at the neighboring mountains and glaciers lifting up to Mont Blanc. If you wish, you can take the highest cable car in Europe – Aiguille du Midi, and reach the kingdom of eternal snow, which will unravel a crystalline view over Mont Blanc cradled by the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. After returning back to Chamonix and having lunch at one of the local cafes, proceed with the journey to Montreux, which is firmly squeezed between Lake Geneva (Lac Leman), the vineyards of Lavaux and the Alps in the French-speaking region of Switzerland. Besides gazing at the panoramic views of Lake Leman, you can also find souvenir shops, boutique stores and traditional restaurants selling local food. One of the sights is the 3 meter Memorial of the worldwide popular singer and frontman of the rock band Queen - Freddie Mercury. The main landmark of Montreux, however, is the medieval Castle Chillon - built in the 11th century, located right on the rocky island of the Lake.  Your private transfer will then return you back to your hotel in Geneva.

What people are saying about Haute-Savoie

Unbelievable experience

Breathtaking views, quite scary at times as it's 4810m high. Many steps at the top ie you have to climb once you get off the cable car. Plenty of refreshment options. Step Into The Void a thrill. The glacier is amazing too but note there are about 500 steps down to it (and therefore back up) once you get off the gondola. The red train is cog and also interesting. A fabulous excursion.

Pricey but totally worth it! With a guide it is worth it because a number of things are easier to do. This means that there is a good chance that you will have to wait in line for less at the cable car. However, keep in mind that it can be busy and that it may take a little longer than you think. The guide had suggested a bit too rosy for that matter.

Excellent a very complete tour! We were attended by a guide named Nils earning a 10. A tour that is enjoyed a lot is very complete

For those like me who had never been to the Alps, it's an amazing experience to see Mont Blanc.

Extraordinary!

The best of the best, an unforgettable experience that exceeds our expectations.
