Full description

Ride the only aerial cable car in all of South Africa and enjoy amazing views along the way. This Swiss-designed and installed gondola seats a maximum of 6 guests. Ascend to the top of the mountain in 6 minutes. As you travel upwards, you’ll pass above a nature reserve. Spot giraffe, zebra, and small antelope from your bird’s eye view. Once you reach the top, you’ll be able to choose from a number of restaurants. Have a drink at the Lookout Bar and sip as a cocktail as you marvel at the spectacular view of the eastern side of the region. Walk “The Dassie Walk,” a 1,200-meter walkway which circles the circumference of the mountain top. Stop at the informative waypoint along the way and learn about the surrounding area. Take the cable car back and return to the starting point.

The Aerial cableway is a must do when visiting Haartebees. I enjoyed every moment of it. The car is very safe and I liked the fact that it is fumigated after each and every ride. At first I was scared but after I got into it realised that the speed is not what I imagined. So there is nothing to be scared about. I'll do it again!!

It was lovely. Although it would have been nice if there was an information person who can direct you where to go etc. Also it took a while for them to assist us as I bought a ticket from this site and not directly from them. Seemed like only 1 person knew how/what to do...

The experience was really nice. I think the guys that help us board the cable cars should not be too stuck up. We wanted to go back down on the open cable ride and he said no! After spending the entire day up the mountain- oh and they don’t take cash but just cards so make sure you’re ready! But overall everything else was amazing! To know that there’s a vibe up in the mountains and restaurants etc… is really nice.
