Full description

Enjoy a scenic 2-hour boat cruise on the placid waters of the Hartbeepoort Dam. With 3 tours departing daily, at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 4:00 PM, pick the time that fits your schedule and hit the water. Located within the Kommando Nek Nature Preserve, gaze at the protected nature that surrounds you, showcasing the abundance of South Africa’s flora and fauna.

Upon boarding the boat, you’ll be treated to a welcome drink as you depart to survey the stunning dam’s waters. With all daily cruises, enjoy a gourmet spread of traditional South African hot and cold finger foods. After your cruise is over and you return to the dock, your entrance pass to the Beach Cafe will still be valid, so come join us for a cocktail at and explore the beauty of the South African countryside next to the shores of Hartbeespoort Dam

Meeting point

Entry is through the Kommando Nek Nature Reserve Gate, proceed through the reserve and follow signs to Harties Boat Company. The booking office will be next to the boat where you will check in and complete paperwork before boarding the boat at the designated jetty. Boarding and docking will commence at the same jetty.

  • No cooler boxes or outside drinks allowed onboard the vessel as we are a licensed venue. Harties Boat Company reserves the right to refuse boarding permission to, as well as remove from any cruise, any client due to health reasons, intoxication, violent or threatening behaviour, or reason deemed to compromise the general safety of the cruise. No-shows by guests will forfeit full payment. Whilst precautions are made to ensure the safety of all clients, all clients board and visit the harbour at their own risk. The activity provider reserves the right to cancel a cruise due to weather circumstances out of our control and for safety reasons. In this event, you will be issued with a voucher valid for 6 months or moved onto the next available date and cruise. Not wheelchair friendly however patrons with walking disabilities will be assisted. All children under 12 are required to wear a life jacket throughout the duration of the cruise. Excellent value for money, great vibe. We were fed, food at every turn. The cruise itself was the perfect time. We saw the sunset and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening on the cruise. The DJ played Amapiano which has become SA’s anthem so it was well worth doing. We all loved it from our group
