Interlaken: Funicular Ticket to Harder Kulm

1. Interlaken: Funicular Ticket to Harder Kulm

If Interlaken had a king, he would reside on the Harder Kulm. Take a short walk from the Interlaken-Ost railway station to the Harder Kulm Railway valley station. From there, hop on the funicular in Interlaken and climb up the mountainside. Enjoy stunning views of the scenic mountain landscape. Once you ride to the top, check out the viewing platform which is 1,322 meters (!) above sea level. Marvel at the snowy peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Enjoy the spectacular view from the “Two-Lakes- Bridge,” where you can see the sapphire-blue lakes Brienz and Thun. Feel the thrill of standing on top of a glass-bottomed viewing platform. If you look down, you’ll really get to see what 1,322 meters look like. Visit the restaurant on top of the Harder Kulm. Although the restaurant looks like a castle, you won’t need to be a king to enjoy royal service. Relax as you admire the magnificent view of the sun setting behind the mountains. Choose when you want to make your descent down the mountain. Trains leave every 30 minutes and the last departure is at 9:40 pm.

This is a wonderful day trip if you want to see the Swiss countryside visit picturesque Alpine villages. Be prepared for a long bus ride, but you will be given a lot of free time in the two towns to either shop, eat, or go up the mountain for activities there. This was our favorite part of our trip to Zurich! Be aware there are multiple different tour groups on the same bus with you (maybe 50-80 people on the bus?). You will be given a colored sticker to indicate which tour group you are in, so make sure to pay attention to the announcements of which tour group is getting on/off the bus.

Worth checking out Mount First if you take the Grindlewald tour. It’s 58CHF, and takes about 25 minutes to get to the top. Stunning views all the way up. The guides were great, especially Eduardo.

I really enjoyed it, if you come to Interlaken you must go to this trip ♥️ breathtaking view.
