What People Are Saying About Hanoi
Lots of experiences for our traveling for this UNSECO World Heritage Halong Bay! Halong Bay is worthy to be recognized as a world heritage site. It's really marvellous and impressive with thousands of big and small islands. We took a cruise to experience our best moment in the bay.Everyone come to Vietnam must try one time here!
Fantastic day trips organized by Peter of YIT tours. Everything was excellent, Drivers,Tours , general advice and professionalism was really marvelous and we saw things we would have missed on our own. Would confidently recommend their service to anyone travelling within Vietnam
This is a stunning must visit place. Amazing limestone islands, rock formations and Caves. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are around 2000 islets mostly made of limestone. The most famous of these formations is the Fighting or Kissing Cocks. Local legend has it that dragons who were the protectors spat out jewels and jade which turned into islands and islands, and Halong is the place where the Mother's dragon descended into the sea. Numerous tour groups run day (or longer) cruises into the region which includes visiting some caves and other activities such as kayaking.
The private one day trip I made to Mai Chau was very interesting. It is about three hours away from Hanoi by motor car. It is a valley . It is a beautiful place . No doubt about that. An overnight trip would have been more interesting. The bicycle ride around the village was fantastic. The lunch provided was Vietnamese and very good. We passed a misty mountain peak on our way to and back from Mai Chau and the drive was thrilling. The driver was clever enough to drive through.
We had a fantastic tour with our English speaking guide, Lena, with indochina travel in Hanoi, as we trekked through the villages of the hill tribes in northern Vietnam. She was very engaged and informative and also had a fantastic rapport with the ethnic groups. We loved the hospitality of the home stay family, Mrs and Mr Long, and the stunning natural beauty of the villages and surrounds. although it was heavy going the first day (approx 20km) the reward was great when we could swim in the waterfall directly at the base of the home stay to cool off! Of our two weeks in Vietnam this was a definite highlight- I cant recommend it enough! Thanks Lena!
