What people are saying about Hanoi

Great guide, scenery - very disappointing food experience

Hoa (Bruce Lee), our guide was exceptionally good and discreet. He's very knowledgeable, prompt, on time and does the activities with you. E.g. he doesn't wait at the foot of the hill to wait for you to come down. He was also very accommodating to our requests. We were lucky enough to be the only couple on this tour. The disappointment was the uncomfortable transportation (lacking leg space, plastic cover), the so called "home cooked meals", tasteless, adapted to tourists palate without drinks, a payable add-on. I have been in and out of Vietnam for the past 8 years and dare say I can differentiate good from less good Vietnamese food. The last lunch meal was among the worst I ever had during my stays. The trip itself is definitely worth it, but not at the cost this tour is offered. the USD 30.00 bungalow is nice, Bruce Lee is exceptionally good, but the transportation and the meal organization (venues) and it's quality is far below what I would expect at this price level.

Amazing Streetfood-Tour getting lost in the wonderful alleys of Hanoi

There are many different tour operators in Hanoi offering a "Streetfood Experience" in Hanoi. I would definitely choose this company again. I was the only one on this tour and got a private pick-up by Hoang Loc on his motorbike getting to experience the authentic hustle and bustle of Hanoi's busy traffic. Loc is an experienced guide showing me all the hidden and not so hidden eateries of Hanoi's old quarter "36 streets". If you love Vietnamese food, it's a delicious experience for your taste buds - ricepaper pancakes, spicy beef & papaya salad, sticky rice with coconut icecream and and many other dishes. There is no way one can finished on his own. If you are looking for an authentic foodie experience, you don't need to look for it any longer. Thank you guys for this great experience!

Great insight in Vietnamese culinary culture with Rosie

We loved food and culinary culture in general during our stay in Vietnam – we tried many things based on our own research, but during our last days we felt that there are still things we did not try, so we signed up for this street food tour in Hanoi. Our guide Rosie was really nice, she took us to places serving excellent food we haven't tried yet (our favourite being mien noodles with eel and Saigon style sea snails) and explained context and background information about everything, which we really enjoyed. One of us being pescetarian was no problem. Thank you Rosie!

Really enjoyed this tour - Alex was a great guide

We were so happy to go on this tour with Alex, he was a great guide! Very glad we upgraded to a private tour as well. Hanoi is a really busy place which is hard to navigate if you're not used to it - that's why it was brilliant to see it from another perspective. My only suggestion would be to ask if there was anything in particular we wanted to try - for example we would have loved to try the pho instead of the banh mi but understand that might be hard to organise.

Excellent tour, Jack was outstanding tour guide

Halong Bay is a must see if you're in Vietnam! This was a great tour. The caves were amazing! The only negative I can think of is that the lady who was our guide on the bamboo boat paddled us way out into the water and then demanded a tip. I generally prefer to tip someone at the end of a service commensurate with the service they provide, and not feel basically trapped into providing a tip while in the middle of the water.
