We booked a tour with GYG when we were backpacking through Vietnam. After reading the reviews, we decided to book them thinking it would be a sure thing, and it totally was. They were super flexible with us ( we confirmed the morning of at 7am) and they were able to accommodate us. Soft trekking experience 2 days around Sapa, it was awesome. Our tour guide, Ca, was super cool! She was a young woman from the Black H'mong village. She impressed me in so many ways. She spoke amazing English, was very knowledgable about Vietnam and about her village. She answered all our questions. After touring the market in sapa, we made our way to her village. We walked for about an hour, all the while admiring the beautiful views Sapa had to offer. We then met her family, who were very nice and welcoming. We had lunch with them, which Ca had prepared. Our lunch was by far one of the best meals I had in Vietnam. This was a worthwhile experience which we will Never forget. ! :)

We did both Halong Bay and Sapa tour 3 nights (2 on the train 4 persons in 1 cabin 2 ways and 1 in hotel sapa) with charming travel. They offer a free pick up from airport with a private car to our hotel in Old Quater of Hanoi. Great! We have a special guide (Tommy - Sorry to forget vietnamese name) who escorted us from the beginning till end of the progarm. Arrange the good timing for the pick up Halong tour 2 days and sending us to the train station to exchange the train tickets. Tommy brought us to the cabin of the train. Tommy has an understandable English, and he has a very good knowledge. And the places were stunning. We highly recommend everyone to see both places. Trekking is a must do thing for Sapa. You can see nice rice terraces and a small waterfall near the village. Fansipan View Hotel is great!

Experience an authentic, timeless way of life among the hill tribes of the Hoang Lien Son mountains on a package tour of 3 nights - 2 days tour to Sapa, traveling on the overnight sleeper train from Hanoi.  Options with savings for a shared cabin for 4 persons or a luxury private cabin for your own group. Min 1 person, max 4 persons. Take treks along old buffalo tracks, and get eye-catching views of the terraced rice fields. Encounter friendly locals in scattered villages, and learn more about a lifestyle that the everyday stresses of modern life has yet to touch. Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai Transfer from Hanoi on the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai. Relax onboard the air-conditioned train (4 beds in 1 cabin. A private option is available), and arrive refreshed at approximately 6:00 AM the next morning. Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat - Sapa (Breakfast/Lunch) Following a pick-up from Lao Cai Station on arrival, transfer to Sa Pa on the dramatic mountain roads of the Hoang Lien Son range. Check into your hotel (Sapa Legend Home or Sapa Charm Hotel or similar) on arrival in Sapa town center, and freshen up before breakfast. Then, start a walking tour to the hill tribe village of Cat Cat, home of the H'Mong minority people. Discover H’Mong villages nestled in the valley, and meet some of the hill tribes going about their daily lives. Learn about their traditional cultures and meet local families. Return to your hotel in Sapa for your overnight stay. Day 3: Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Sapa - Lao Cai (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner at Lao Cai Train Station) Following breakfast at your hotel, embark on a lovely trek along the buffalo trails of the surrounding hills. Pass several tribal villages, including Lao Chai and Ta Van, home to the Black H'Mong and Dzay minority peoples. Marvel at the spectacular scenery, inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can ever meet. Once on the valley floor, appreciate the beauty of the surrounding valley, walled by the multi-layered rice terraces and scattered villages. Return to Sapa to have dinner. Free time walking around the city centre a while before transfer to Lao Cai Railway Station for the return train ride to Hanoi. Tour services end at Hanoi Train Station, from where you can easily catch a taxi to hotels in the Old Quater.

  • A representative will collect you from your hotel at least 01 hours before the scheduled train departure; please be in the Train Station at 120 Le Duan, Hanoi by 21:00 to exchange the Tickets ready to train depart at 22:00. Cabin Aircondition would open 21:30. Restroom Door on train open after train departure
  • Please bring warm clothes, especially between November and March, along with trekking shoes and a raincoat
  • Please note, hotel early check-in is at 1 PM and check-out at 12 PM (this is the latest available check-out time)

We booked the package with Charming Travel in Hanoi. They arrange all for 4 of us with private group. Private clean cabin 4 beds on train. Pick up us in Hanoi 8pm. We did a 2 days trek with Chan - Local H'Mong people in Sapa in July and it was definitly a Highlight of our journey! Chan is amazing and speaks very good english. She explained us everything about the people, the culture and many more. She became a lovely friend to us during the stay and we also talked about personal stuff and stories - we really had a lot of fun! We also met her family and her daughter, thank you once again for everything!! During these 2 days we could see more of the culture and the landscape than expected, the trek was just tailor made to us. We could see how the people in Sapa really live! There are a lot of tourists in Sapa trekking around, but we didnt meet a lot of them. Chan and her husband they always did their best to make our trek an unique experience!
