Definitely book this tour! We had such a great time. Our guide Rachel was incredible. She took us to the market and we picked out and bought our ingredients. Then took a shuttle to the villa and we made banana flower salad, bun cha, learnt how to roll spring rolls and had egg coffee. Had so much fun and learnt so much. Then our group sat down and ate together. It went from about 3pm to 8pm.

Such a fun morning with chef Norah! She took us through a Hanoi market to buy food and then to the kitchen, where we learned to make pho, spring rolls, mango salad and egg coffee. Hands on, and lots of information about Vietnam and food along the way.

Love love LOVED this experience! We were picked up near our hotel in the Old Quarter, met up with other participants, went on a guided tour of a local market to pick out ingredients, and then traveled to Rose Kitchen for the cooking class. Over four hours, we learned how to make four dishes from scratch: green mango salad, spring rolls, bun cha, and egg coffee. Our chef and guide, Dana, was a terrific host, explaining the background of ingredients and dishes, teaching some knife skills, helping those of us (me) who aren’t so good in the kitchen, and making it fun for all levels of experience. At the end, we of course got to eat everything we made together. This was an outstanding class and I highly recommend it! Kudos to Dana and everyone at Rose Kitchen for a lovely afternoon.
