Our trip was in January, so the weather was cold and windy, that’s why I thought a day trip should be enough, and it was, but you can easily spend more time there, because the place is beautiful. We were there at the time of Tet, so there was a huge crowd everywhere. Our tour guide was excellent, lunch was plenty and okay. The cycling was amazing, I would definitely would have continued for like another 30 minutes. Overall a good experience, maybe with a little luck there won’t be such a big crowd when you decide to go there.

‘Gary’ our guide was absolutely great . He took time to share lots of lovely anecdotes and stories to bring to life Vietnamese culture and had a lovely manner with all the guests. The trip was organised very efficiently and kept to good time. It does feel a bit like a touristy conveyor belt - which means you don’t get much time to properly enjoy cycling etc. But our guide, driver and the organisation of the trip was excellent.

We hit all the great landmarks in Ninh Binh. It was a bit crowded and touristy but it was cool learning about the history of Vietnam and not worrying about logistics. Wish I had more time to spend here than a day though. Also props to Duy as a guide. He was awesome!
