What to Expect
The beautiful city of Hanoi elegantly blends the ancient with the modern and the serene with the vibrant to create a unique atmosphere well loved by tourists and residents alike. This full-day tour of Hanoi’s most important sites is a great way to witness Hanoi on a small time scale.
First up, visit Ho Chi Minh complex, including the famous Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of former President, Uncle Ho. Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, Ho's domicile from 1958 to 1969, is also nearby. The museum, also within walking distance, is a great resource for learning about the turbulent history of Vietnam.
Perhaps Vietnam’s most important attraction is the One Pillar Pagoda. Your guide will take you the history of this structure before leading you to the Temple of Literature, the first college of Vietnam dedicated to Confucius.
After a busy morning of sightseeing a delicious lunch in a local restaurant is in order. After lunch we will drive to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda located on the shore of West Lake. Here you will visit the Museum of Ethnology and Hoa Lo Prison where many Vietnamese patriots were jailed and killed.
