What to Expect
In the morning you will be picked up by Halong Bay Cruise's tour guide at 8.00 – 8.30 am at your hotel for a bus drive 175 km to the East (3 hours). Along the drive you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the Red River delta with peaceful villages, farmers working in their green fields, herding their water buffaloes, flocking their ducks, trading garden herbs by the side of the road. You also make a stop halfway to relax your legs, enjoy a coffee or tea before you continue your trip to Ha Long Bay.
Arrive in Ha Long city about 11.45 a.m. The tour guide will take you on board to start the marvelous cruise trip (4 hours). Lunch with seafood will be served while the boat cruises the bay to enjoy the beautiful limestone seascape on the boat.
In the afternoon: After lunch, you have a chance to visit two most beautiful caves- Thien Cung cave or the Palace Of Heaven Grotto and Dau Go Cave or Wooden Stake Grotto (- where in 1288 one of Vietnam’s most famous Generals Tran Hung Dao amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army)
Then tourists will take a look at the Floating Village of the fisherman and the Fighting cocks islet. Stopping at a floating house for kayaking – one of the best ways to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the bay. At about 4.00 pm the boat comes back to Ha Long city and you will head back to Ha Noi.
