The lovely Giong Temple which dates back to the Le Dynasty (980) and lies in the hills close to Thanh Chuong Palace. Take a leisurely tour to the countryside around Hanoi to visit these fascinating destinations and have lunch before continuing back to the capital.
08.00 Transfer from Hanoi to Thanh Chuong palace, 50-minute drive from central Hanoi.
09.00 Start by exploring Thanh Chuong's studio filled with antiques the artist had painstakingly collected over the course of his life. Ceramics, statues, art, and sculptures fill the awe-inspiring 'House of the Auspicious Clouds'. Surrounding the structure is a perfectly preserved 100-year old stilt house from the Muong hill tribe. The 'House of Serenity' is a typical Northern Vietnamese-style house dating back some one hundred years. There is alsos a simple house and other antique structures which offer a fascinating insight into Vietnam's cultural legacy.
11.00 A short distance to Giong Temple. This is the temple Thanh Giong, one of the most important temples for Vietnamese people.
12.00 Drive back to Hanoi and drop off at your hotel. End of service.
