Enjoy the beauty of UNESCO-listed Halong Bay. With a transfer from Hanoi, you’ll reach Halong by midday, with time to experience its spectacular beauty, enjoy a cool swim, or simply just relax on the boat’s sun deck with seafood and a drink.
What to Expect
Your full-day tour begins with an early morning hotel pick-up. From Hanoi you’ll be transferred to stunning Halong Bay, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1994.
During the 4-hour drive you’ll pass through Vietnam’s Red River Delta, one of the country’s important agricultural regions.
When you reach Halong you’ll board a boat for a sail around the bay’s natural rocky gardens and enjoy a tasty seafood lunch on board. Most of the nearly 3,000 rocky islets are uninhabited due to the lack of fresh water, but make for stunning views on your cruise.
Many of the islands are named for their inspirational shapes, such as Pelican Grotto, Chopstick Rock, Butterfly Rock, Turtle Rock, Fisherman’s Head, Fighting Cocks, the Sail, the Urn, and the Sea Dog.
If you like you can go for a swim or relax on the sun deck enjoying a drink.
The boat will return to the wharf in the late afternoon and you’ll be transferred back to your Hanoi hotel by car or coach.
