Andy was a great tour guide. He knew a lot about the history of the Pagoda, a lot about the Buddhist beliefs and Daoism. He did a great job explaining the plan for the trip and everything. The Pagoda itself was amazing. There were a lot of steps to get there but it was worth the hike to meet the people on the way and Andy was great at divulging information about the people that live there and the pagoda itself! The information and the history that Andy gave us was the best part. For example, when we went to the outer Pagoda, we saw a wooden fish hanging from one of the entryway rooftops. It had a mallet with it like it was a gong. Andy did not know what it was but he was kind enough to research it after the tour and he sent us some information on it through whatsapp.

Nice activity. You cross the river in a rowboat. I recommend hat and sunscreen as the sun hits. First we stop at the pagoda, I recommend having pants below the knee or in any case a covering shawl that you can use. Lunch with good food. After that the cave, we took the funicular exclusively to go up to the summit and then we went down on foot, the cave is beautiful. They were punctual on the pick-up time from the hotel. Respect the times throughout the day. Recommended excursion.

Good , but could be better

My guide picked me up ,on time where we proceed to the boat which was about a 2 hour bus journey We then got on a small rowing boat which was roses by a small Vietnamese woman !! During the 1 hour boat ride you get to pass Loads of great scenery and a lot of good photo opportunities The major downside is the seats in the boat are really small , and there isn’t much room to move about When we reached are destination we were first shown a citified small pagodas Then we wet given a choice either a cable car or hike , myself and a father and daughter decided to hike up ( and I on my one decided. to hike back down ) On the way up there are loads of Great photo opportunities ( again ) But the pagoda wasn’t really worth all the effort and time we for spent Be careful about how much you give the boat guide for a tip , someone one are group tried to give her 1000 VDN , but she wouldn’t take it !!! Are guide was very good by the way
