Fantastic little day trip, highlighting the more tropical side of Vietnam compared to the city streets of Hanoi. The schedule was changed a little due to issues at the bigger pagoda but this was balanced out with more time cycling, which I actually preferred as you can get templed out easily in Asia! The boat trip was draw dropping pretty - would definitely recommend. Plenty of vegetarian options in the buffet lunch so you won’t go hungry if you are one like me. Transport was a little cramped but was still a comfortable ride. Very organised and although some bits are a little fast paced, this needed to be the case to squeeze it all in and you still get enough time to reach the summit for “that” temple shot - also the guide has got you covered for your pics as they’ll give you your own little photo session at the best backdrop locations.

Well planned tour. Our tour guide ‘PeterPan’ was just ok, he mentioned that he is doing the guide job during uni vacations. PeterPan had to be reminded to be with the group, being in his 20s PeterPan was way ahead of the group, lost a lot of info that he was giving to the couple of youngsters that kept pace with him. The atmosphere of the pagoda was peaceful and calm, the sceneries from the boat ride felt like exploring a lost world, and the panoramic view on of Mua cave left us speechless. (The boat ride is about 1hr 30min. Enjoyed the cycling. The tour requires a lot of walking/steps (big/high solid foundation) in the Pagoda and climbing up the 500 (big/high but unstable footings have to be very very careful going up and down) steps in Mau Cave, so be sure to get a good rest the night before the tour.

My significant other and really enjoyed this trip. It was a quick turn around for a day trip as there was a lot packed into one day so I would suggest being prepared for a longer day. That being said Hotel pick Up from Hanoi was on time and convenient our tour guide was excellent, provided lunch was solid and arrangements came together without a hitch. Its a trip packed with other tourist for sure but gives you the ability to see a lot in a short period of time. Very worthwhile one day excursion from Hanoi especially with limited time to see these sites.
