Dan the tour guide made it! He was funny and gave lots of extra information about Hanoi & it's history. First stop was for Banh mi - a bread roll/baguette filled with bbq chicken and vegetables - very tasty Then on to a local restaurant through a back alley - you would not know this place exists, but back there is a lovely home/restaurant serving spring rolls (fresh & fried) along with meatballs, noodles and other local food! All served in what feels like someone's dining room at home! After the 2 courses there it's off to the next venue for dessert. We had a lovely sticky rice & ice cream! After that it was of to the home of the famous Egg coffee! Very tasty. Soft drinks, vietnamese coffee and tea were also available, but egg coffee is worth a try! A great way to learn about the food, culture and go to places you didn't even know existed!

It was good experience overall! The foods were okay. There were some parts where we had to go inside a dark alley - something a tourist will not do. Our guide was very knowledgable and cheerful, however, there were a few times when I couldn't understand her, which was sad.

Great experience, Lucas is an absolute hero, very informative about the food and even went out of his way to educate us about Vietnam. His English is impeccable. He is a credit to the company and would definitely recommend. Highlight of our trip. Thanks Lucas

Our tour guide Alex took us to some of the local places vs the touristy one. He also gave some good history on the city. I feel like I have a better understanding and appreciation of the food culture here after taking this tour. Thank you!

Great way to see Halong Bay in one day! Bus journey is obviously quite long but if you need to squeeze it into 1 day it isn’t much to sacrifice. Benjamin was a great guide, so helpful and spoke amazing English!
