Day 1 : Ha Noi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Mua Cave - Ninh Binh After hotel pick up between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, head to Tam Coc. Take the sampan go along the Ngo Dong river to visit 3 caves. Take a biking tour around the area before a buffet lunch. Visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam by bus. Head to Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple and learn of the heroic histories of the Chinese Wars. Next, visit Mua cave. Climb 500 stone steps for panoramic views of the countryside and Ngo Dong river. Day 1: Start your adventure with pickup in a private vehicle from your hotel in the Old Quarter or designated meeting point. Set off to Mai Chau and stop on the way at Thung Khe mountain pass to see the impressive scenery of the North-West. Explore Lac Village and then stop for a local lunch at 12 PM. Start with a pick-up from your hotel at 08:00. The Jeep will drive you to the rural areas of Hanoi. After 1.5-hours, you will arrive to Duong Lam. This is an ancient village with houses built of unprocessed laterite blocks. Have a walk to visit the ancient Mong Phu Communal House and Mia Pagoda (known as the museum of Buddha statues with 287 relics on display). Leaving the village, you will drive for 5 more kilometers on the village road to Moon Garden, where you will have lunch at a special restaurant. Our tour guide was Chris aka Hoang, and our driver was Hoan. They had another small girl assist in the tour. They all worked in synchrony to make the Jeep tour so fun! Great, safe driver. Chris had a lot of interesting information about the history of Hanoi, very well versed. Chris and small girl I forgot her name, both made sure we got a ton of pictures of our tour. I recommend it! We got a full meal at Hidden Gem Cafe and also ice cream and coffee.

This tour is anabsolute must if you want to experience bits of the lives of people who live here. Out tour guide, Tony, was a total gem, with plenty of interesting insights. Getting to try some of the local fruits, foods, seeing the hidden streets and life of Hanoi…loved every second of it! Would totally recomment Tony and the tour itself.
