Pickup is available from hotels in Hanoi's Old Quarter area between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM. The shuttle bus will pick you up directly from your hotel in Old Quarter or from the activity provider's office on the 6th floor, 95h Ly Nam De Street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. You will be transported to the bus station, where you will board a sleeper bus to Ha Giang. The journey takes approximately 7-8 hours.

Night 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang 19:30: Pick-up from your hotel/hostel or Chestnut Travel. 20:30: Depart from Hanoi to Ha Giang on a sleeper bus. Overnight: Travel on the sleeper bus. Day 1: Ha Giang - Yen Minh Town - Dong Van 03:30: Arrive in Ha Giang city, check-in to your hostel, and rest for a few hours. 08:30: Meet your guide and begin the Ha Giang Loop adventure. 09:00: Start your journey with a ride along Bac Sum Pass. 10:00: Reach Heaven Gate, enjoy the twin mountains' scenery, and see Tam Son town. 12:00: Have lunch in Yen Minh Town. 13:00: Drive towards Dong Van, passing through Chin Khoanh Pass. 15:00: Experience the stunning landscape of Dong Van Karst Plateau. 16:00: Visit Hmong King’s Palace in Sa Phin. 18:00: Arrive in Dong Van, enjoy a local Vietnamese dinner and live music. Overnight: Stay in Dong Van. Day 2: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Du Gia Village 08:00: Have breakfast and depart from Dong Van Town. 09:00: Explore the breathtaking Ma Pi Leng Pass, trek the Sky Path for panoramic views. 11:00: Descend to Nho Que river for a boat ride. 12:30: Lunch break in Meo Vac, Mau Due, or Lung Ho village. 14:00: Drive through the mountainous area of Ha Giang to Du Gia town. 16:00: Arrive to local homestay in Du Gia Village. Overnight: Stay in a homestay surrounded by green rice fields in Du Gia Village. Day 3: Du Gia Village - Ha Giang - Hanoi 08:00: Have breakfast at homestay. 09:00: Relaxing and swimming at Du Gia Waterfall. 12:00: Cross Lung Ho observe Nui Doi Mountain. 13:00: Have lunch at a local restaurant and head back to Ha Giang. 16:00: Arrive in Ha Giang, prepare for the return journey. 17:00: Dinner by your own 19:30 or 21:00: Board the sleeper bus for the return to Hanoi. Overnight: Travel on the sleeper bus. End of the tour.

The ha giang loop was amazing! The guide and the small group sizing was perfect. The activities combined with the time on and off the road was perfect. Happy, our guide, was the best guide we could’ve asked for. We made a friend by the end of it and met some incredible people along the way. I cannot recommend the loop enough. The food, home stays and seeing the authentic Vietnamese culture was so eye opening. My only area for improvement would be with the transportation. Before arriving in Ha Giang, the transportation company didn’t explain anything and they abruptly got us off the bus at 2:30 in the morning, dropping us at our hostel after driving way too fast. Other than that, the best trip I have ever been on and a memory me and my girlfriend will never forget.

This was a once in a lifetime trip for my two friend and I. Never in my life will I experience such stunning scenery again while doing so with the fantastic crew that lead the way. The easyriders are some of the best drivers in the world and every day you have great banter with them. Honestly a must do if you are in the North of Vietnam.

We thought the Ha Giang Loop was one of our best experiences so far. The views were amazing, our guide was a really fun and playful personality, transportation was easy, the accommodation was well-organised and comfortable (the homestay had a great pool), and karaoke in the evenings was super fun.
