What to Expect
Cruise among the stunning limestone karst formations of Halong Bay, enjoy delicious seafood prepared on board, and see a cooking demonstration of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. On this 2-day excursion from Hanoi you’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, and spend the night on this traditional and atmospheric junk, in an air-conditioned en suite cabin. Note that there is the option to upgrade to a deluxe room with private balcony or sea view if you prefer.
Day 1: Hanoi – Halong (Lunch, Dinner)
You’ll depart Hanoi at around 07:45-08:15. A guide will meet you at your hotel before you head off on the journey to Halong Bay. Take a short break en route in Hai Duong province, at a popular handicraft shopping center. You’ll arrive in Halong Bay at around 12:00.
In the afternoon, your cruise along Halong Bay begins as a seafood lunch is served on the boat. Along the way, you’ll pass closely amazing karst formations. Stop to visit the floating village and enjoy a 1-hour kayaking adventure.
Back on the ship, spend some free time relaxing on the sundeck, enjoying free fruit and drinks, or join a cooking demonstration and learn how to prepare Vietnamese spring rolls. You’ll be served dinner on board and afterwards have a chance to try your hand at squid fishing.
Day 2: Halong – Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast on board you’ll enjoy an hour’s visit to Sung Sot Cave, the largest cave in Halong Bay. Then you’ll cruise back to the harbor, taking in views of Dinh Huong Island, Cho Da Island, and Ga Choi Island along the way.
After lunch, you’ll disembark and take the bus back to Hanoi. There will be a short stop en route, and you’ll arrive back at your hotel at approximately 17:00.
