This day tour brings you the best of Hangzhou, including the picturesque West Lake, seen as the symbol of Hangzhou, and the Lingyin Temple, plus a tea plantation, where you can enjoy a warm cup and learn the history and processing procedure of tea.
What to Expect
Our day begins with a visit to the West Lake. This entire picturesque lake is surrounded on three sides by mountains, and one side by the city of Hangzhou proper.
With the green hills, willow trees, elegant bridges and clean spring water around, the view of the West Lake is simply enchanting.
Afterwards, we will continue to visit the Lingyin Temple, a celebrated Chan (Zen) Buddhist temple founded in 326 AD. From there, our next stop is Feilai Peak, home to limestone ridges and impressive stone carvings.
Finally we will explore a Chinese green tea plantation, where you can try to pick the tea leaves, taste a nice warm cup of the local tea, and learn the history and processing procedure of tea itself, one of the most enduring traditions in the world.
