At 8AM we drive out of Hampi for 3 hours to the erstwhile capital of the Chalukya Kings, Badami. Located in a ravine at the foot of red sandstone hills Badami looks mesmerizing surrounded by the Agastya lake. The cave temples are made of made of red sandstone and feature a hall with numerous pillars and a square shaped sanctum. Paintings cover the ceiling. A must look out is the pose of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvathi with a coiled serpent. An 18 armed lord Nataraja in 81 dancing poses is the other item of interest. Badami is also famous for its inscriptions. An important inscription to look out for would be the first Sanskrit inscription in old Kannada script, on a hillock dating back to 543 CE. A half hour drive brings us to Pattadakal. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is an epitome of the Visara style of architecture. The grandest of all temples here is that of Virupaksha, built in 8th Century by Queen Lokamahadevi in 745 to commemorate victory over the Pallavas of Kanchi. Our final destination for the day is Aihole. It is a half an hour drive from Pattadakal. There are more than a hundred stone temples from 5th century onwards to see. Legend says it is at Aihole that Lord Parashurama washed his axe after killing all the Kshatrayas.

You can find the biggest idol of Hampi, a few feet from Badavi Linga.Ugra Narasimha is 22 feet in height and was carved by a Brahmin during Krishnadevaraya’s time. There is a serpent with open hood at the back. Sasivekalu Ganesha Temple is a huge statue of Lord Ganesha, carved out of a single block of rock. We will visit this 8 feet tall of the Lord. We visit the magnificent Virupaksha temple, next in our Hampi tour from Bangalore. It is from the Hoysala period and is the oldest temple in Hampi. The temple tower has eleven storeys and goes up 165 ft in height. The river Tungabhadra flows inside. Overnight in Hampi Day-2 Hampi tour Today we commence the Hampi tour from Bangalore, at Vijaya Vittala temple , probably the grandest masterpiece around. It is constructed on a polyhedron foundation. Right at the front is the world renowned stone chariot made of rough quartz. You will spot figures of soldiers, hunters and even foreign visitors like Portuguese and Arabs etched on the chariot. The musical pillars of the temple is one of the greatest work of art by mankind. King’s Balance is the next destination. This is a huge stone frame east of Purandara Mantapa. A stone beam is placed on two pillars of stone. Legend has it that the generous Kings of Vijayanagara used to weigh them with gold and gems and distribute it among the poor. The Royal enclosure of Hampi was the seat of power of the Vijayanagara kingdom. This area consists of durbar halls, platform, tanks, underground chambers, and temples. We start at Queen’s Bath which is a magnificent structure and used to be the private bathing chamber for the royalty of Vijaynagara Empire. We will next visit the Zanana enclosure , which was the place for the royal women. The Lotus Mahal is the most impressive structure here. It is a palace is a two-storied building surrounded by a rectangular wall and four towers. The Palace gets a Lotus like look with pyramidal shaped towers. Another impressive structure in the Royal Enclosure is the Stone Door. They are a pair of monolith doors which used to be at the entrance of a massive Fort. We will visit the only temple in the Royal Enclosure. Hazara Rama is a temple dedicated to Lord Ram, the incarnation of Vishnu. A village walk in Anegundi is how we end this Hampi tour from Bangalore. 2PM– Drive back from Hampi to Bangalore 8PM– Arrive in Bangalore

Day 1: Aurangabad Our representative will pick you up from your selected pickup point. and will introduce you to the tour details and connect you with the driver. After that, you will go to the hotel. If you have time and want to do a city tour. Stay at a hotel in Aurangabad. Day 2: Aurangabad, Ajanta Caves, Aurangabad In the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel. Will take Ajanta. Ajanta is 100 km from Aurangabad; it will take 2 hours to travel there. Our driver will show you good restaurants. After that, I will come to Aurangabad. Stay at a hotel in Aurangabad. Day 3: Aurangabad, Ellora Caves, Daultabad Fort, Bibi ka Mabra, Aurangabad In the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel. I will take Ellora Caves. Ellora is 35 km from Aurangabad; it will take 1 hour to travel there. After the tour of Ellora is over, you can also have lunch if you want. After that, drive to Daulatabad Fort and Bibi ka Maqbra. After that, I will come to Aurangabad. Stay at a hotel in Aurangabad. Day 4: Aurangabad to Vijayapura  In the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel and drive to Vijayapura. Vijayapura is 400 km from Aurangabad; it will take 6 hours to travel there. After reaching Vijayapura, you will check into the hotel, and if you wish, you can also visit the local market in the evening. Stay at a hotel in Vijayapura. Day 5: Vijayapura, Gol Gumbaz, Jama Mosque, Ibrahim Roza, Bara Kaman, and Badami After finishing breakfast at the hotel, we will do some sightseeing in Vijaypur. In which you will visit Gol Gubaz, Ibrahim Roza, Jama Masjid, and Bara Kaman. After that, we will leave for Badami. Badami is at a distance of 120 km from Vijayapur; it will be a journey of 2 hours. Stay at the hotel in Badami. Day 6: Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal, Badami Caves, and Hampi After breakfast, we will first visit Aihole Temple and then proceed to Pattadakal Temple. Aihole is at a distance of 34 kilometers from Badami. It will be a 40-minute journey. Which are perfect for morning photography. after that, we will go to Badami Caves. After that, we will go to Bhootnath Temple and the last museum. After sightseeing, we will leave for Hampi. Hampi is at a distance of 160 km from Badami, and it will be a journey of 3 hours. Stay at a hotel in Hampi. Day 7: Hampi After breakfast, we will go on a full-day tour of Hampi. We have made Hampi's tour in two groups, so it will be very easy for you to visit Hampi. First, we will go to Virupaksha Temple. After that, you can have lunch if you want. After lunch, we will again visit Vittala Temple, which is the top site in Hampi. and then in the evening we will visit the museum, where your sightseeing ends. Stay at a hotel in Hampi. Day 8: Hampi-Hubali After breakfast, we will leave for Hubli. Hubli is at a distance of 170 km from Hampi and will be a 3-hour journey. Your tour ends in Hubli, because from Hubli you will get flights to Delhi, Mumbai, and many other big cities in India. Hubli Airport is the nearest airport.
