Full description
Enjoy a guided tour of Hamburg's new landmark, the Elbphilharmonie. Learn from your guide about this impressive building. Begin with a tour around the building before riding the world's longest escalator. Then admire great views of Hamburg and the harbor from the Plaza, with interesting commentary from your tour guide. Also included in this tour is an approximately 1-hour harbor boat tour. Travel close to the enormous containerships and admire the Elbphilharmonie from the water. Photograph the building from this unique perspective. If the water level is sufficient, you will also travel through the canals of the Speicherstadt – the Hamburg Warehouse District. The jetty is close to the Elbphilharmonie. Depending on your booked time, you can either visit the Elbphilharmonie first and then take the harbor tour at 11:00, or go on the harbor tour first and then visit the Elbphilharmonie.

The sailing trip: we saw a lot of container port and skipper was very knowledgeable about containers and container ships…., But an ok trip. Elbphilharmonie: the guide told a lot about the building and the stories behind it, ok info. if you want to enter the building and think you want to attend a concert at some point. The actual visit to the concert hall, the long escalator and the lookout post are approx. in the middle of the building. The cafe was closed (strangely a high summer in the rain).

The harbor tour that took place at the beginning of the tour was very well organized and the information was conveyed competently and clearly by the captain. We can only thank you again for that. The subsequent tour with guide "Hannes" was incredibly empathetic and responsive to the group. He spanned a great and informative arc around Hamburg, Speicherstadt, flood protection, Elbphilharmonie and Hafencity. We would also like to thank Hannes for the excellent tour. Very competent and selfless. I can only recommend him very much.
