It was definitely worth the money to be able to board all the different modes of transportation. The only thing we added once there was a first class ticket for the pirate ship. It was cheap and worth it. You got access to a viewing deck up front (maybe slightly better view than the aft deck) but the main reason to go first class was that the aft deck was extremely crowded and we had lots of space to move around with our stroller, take pictures and enjoy the lovely view!

With your pass, get round-trip train fare between Shinjuku Station and Odawara Station and rides on the following list of Hakone transportation systems: • Hakone Tozan Train• Hakone Tozan Cable Car• Hakone Ropeway• Hakone Sightseeing Cruise• Hakone Tozan Bus (designated areas only)• Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus (designated areas only)• Tokai Bus (designated areas only)• “KANKO SHISETSU-MEGURI” Bus (Tourist Attraction Sightseeing Bus) To get started, simply book your chosen pass duration and exchange your confirmation voucher for your pass at Shinjuku Station (detailed exchange directions given after booking).

Know before you go

  • Your pass must be returned at the final station of the trip
  • The Odakyu Hakone Express Bus has priority for those who have a reserved seat and cannot be
  • boarded if it is full
  • Services may be suspended due to bad weather conditions. Hakone pass holders who could not
  • be boarded due to suspension may obtain a refund for the particular portion at the Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center. Only the particular transportation that has not been boarded in the whole trip will be refunded to you

Made transport so easy. Just beware bus routes are Alphabetic but signs are numeric - just practice
