In the afternoon, we will head back to Hai Van Pass to explore the beauty of the mountains and sea at twilight. Around 5:00, we will drop you off at your hotel, concluding the program. If you’re going to stay in Hue, we’ll take you to Tam Giang Lagoon - the largest lagoon in Southeast Asia, located in Thừa Thiên-Huế Province, Vietnam. It stretches about 70 kilometers and covers an area of approximately 22,000 hectares. This vast and picturesque lagoon is a significant ecological and cultural site, offering a unique experience for visitors interested in nature, local life, and Vietnamese cuisine. After 30 minutes of riding on the 1A national route, we’ll turn to small paths to enjoy the countryside - it is an enriching experience that offers a deep dive into the traditional lifestyles, natural beauty, and cultural heritage of the region, providing a memorable contrast to the historical landmarks of Hue city. Experience traditional rice farming methods, from plowing with water buffaloes to planting rice seedlings. Then, see the Marble Mountains and arrive at Hoi An Town in the afternoon. Wait at the reception, then get on the bus outside your hotel in Hue between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM. First, stop at Thanh Toan Bridge, a historic landmark and tourist attraction that was built over 200 years ago. Admire the tiled roof of this bridge and the wooden pillars. Stop at Lap An Lagoon to take beautiful photos of the peaceful lake surface. After this, drive to the Hai Van Pass in the Troung Son Mountains, known for its steep inclines and hairpin turns. Spend a bit of time here. Standing on Hai Van Pass you can see the beautiful Lang Co beach. Have a snack (Small bread) at Hai Van Pass Following this, continue to the Marble Mountains, also known as Ngu Hanh Son. Appreciate the view of these 5 limestone and marble hills in Da Nang. These mountains are named after the five elements, Kim (gold), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire), and Tho (earth). Get back on the bus. Drop off at Hoi An from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Note: Some roads in Hoi An are blocked one-way, hotels are far from the city center and some roads ban 29-seat vehicles. My husband & I have just finished the most amazing trip from Hue to Hoi An with our guide Bi from Hue Friendly Cars, this has been by far our best day in Vietnam, the sights en route were breathtaking, more importantly the time we spent with Bi our guide, he looked after us so well, so informative & well read in all of our discussions, we learnt so much from Bi on Vietnamese culture & history. I cannot recommend this trip more, a lovely kind gentleman.
