Gulf of Papagayo

Start your journey to become a confident diver on a full-day Discover Scuba Dive program in the Gulf of Papagayo. Suitable for complete beginners, the dive program requires no previous experience and includes a training session in a controlled environment. Start with an introduction to diving techniques in confined water, and learn the basic skills and how to handle your scuba equipment. Then, travel by boat to 2 different dive sites in the Gulf. Here, your instructor will lead you safely around the reefs, where rays, turtles, jacks, and snappers are often seen. Each dive takes approximately 40 minutes, with only your breathing limiting the dive time. Dive to maximum depths of 12 meters (40 feet), and experience the extraordinary sensation of breathing underwater. During the break between dives, drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit will be served. The dive boats have lots of shade to shield you from the tropical sun, while a boarding ladder and swim platform makes getting in and out easy.

Experience the fascinating underwater world of the Gulf of Papagayo on a half-day adventure tour for certified divers. Starting at Playas del Coco, transfer to the Papagayo Gulf by comfortable dive boat. After a short briefing and equipment assembly, submerge into the beautiful waters with the bilingual dive masters, who will then guide you through the reefs to see eagle rays, sting rays, turtles, and even sharks. Thousands of fish will accompany you as you explore the diversity of species on offer. You will visit 2 different dive sites for 2 separate dives, with no time limits - except by your breathing! Back on the surface, drinks, fruits, and snacks will be served on the boat. Locate your encounters on the fish chart, or just relax on the boat ride to the next dive site. You will sail back to Playas del Coco by 13:00, where you can get a stamp for your log book.

Do you love to enjoy the sea on the jetski machines you can come and enjoy it, we rent the jetski for an hour if you wish and enjoy riding these machines.

We hope you had a great time in Costa Rica. After you check out of your hotel, our staff will transfer you to the Liberia Airport to take your flight home. The starting time depends on your hotel and your flight departure time. Usually, you have to be at the airport at least 2 hours before. The time and duration of your trip depend on the location of your hotel. Our vehicles are a late model and have air conditioning. Some of the hotels included are Andaz Papagayo, Mangroove Hotel, Villas Sol, Occidental Papagayo, Secrets Papagayo, Riu Guanacaste & Riu Palace, Bosque del Mar, Planet Hollywood, etc. If your hotel is not listed, please check before booking.

The gulf of papagayo is a place to enjoy this activity, in this adventure you can expect to have a very sunny day, be surrounded by the best beaches and the best hotels in the area especially because it will be close to your place of rest so if you are in the middle of a sunny day, you can enjoy near the best hotels in the area this means that if you are staying in one of them the tours could be organized near you. Our adventure starts around 5:45 pm, just before sunset. This tour is available any day of the week. Typically, the activity wraps up around 8:00 pm. The starting time may vary depending on the sunset. The tour includes: Flashlights, rubber boots, fresh fruit (provided after the experience) and bottled water. We recommend to wear long sleeve T-Shirt, hiking pants for men, leggings or hiking pants for women. Do not forget to bring bugs spray. Meeting Time & Point: 20 minutes before at Hermosa Beach.

Explore this beautiful beach, rest for a while, and take pictures. Spot animals like iguanas, bathe in the water, and stroll along the beautiful shelly sands before returning to your hotel.
