Full description
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is Frank Lloyd Wright's modernist architectural masterpiece housing its world-renowned collections of modern and contemporary art. The building was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site — one of two in New York — the other being the Statue of Liberty.

Once you arrive at the Museum, skip the admissions line and head straight for the information desk to check-in. Your ticket gives you unlimited time to discover all that the museum has to offer, and even has re-entry privileges.

Founded on a collection of early modern masterpieces, the Guggenheim Museum today is an ever-evolving institution devoted to the art of the 20th century and beyond.

Upgrade to include a 1-hour “Weekend Architecture Tour”, exclusive to GetYourGuide and the Guggenheim Museum, led by a Museum Educator/Guide at 11:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. Explore the museum on this architecture-focused tour that highlights the building’s iconic design. You will learn about Frank Lloyd Wright, the building’s recent UNESCO designation, and discover all of the interesting shapes and vantage points the museum has to offer. A portion of the tour will also include the exterior of the building, subject to weather conditions.

To make the most of your visit to the Guggenheim, the Museum offers the following free services:
• Art in the Round public tours, led by highly knowledgeable Guggenheim educators at 14:00 every day. Each tour focuses on specific exhibitions or themes.
• Posted throughout the museum, Gallery Guides offer visitors a singular opportunity to explore art through one-on-one conversation. Gallery Guides have extensive backgrounds in the arts and are trained to engage individuals in meaningful, shared dialogue. Gallery Guides speak a range of languages and are trained to provide verbal imaging descriptions for visitors with low vision or blindness. Visitors of all ages and abilities are encouraged to approach and speak with Gallery Guides
