Day 1 - Tuesday:

Arrive at Guayaquil Airport and meet your guide for a transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in Guayaquil.

Day 2 - Wednesday:

After breakfast at the hotel, take off on a city tour of Guayaquil. Traveling along the main streets and avenues of the city visit Seminario Park, The Guayaquil embankment, La Rotonda, and the colonial neighborhood of Las Peñas where you can admire magnificent wooden architecture. From here, take in panoramic views of Guayaquil and the Guayas River.

Then depart from Guayaquil for El Cajas National Park at noon. Along the way, see the lush vegetation growing along the Ecuadorian coast, including large banana and cocoa plantations. Continue your ascent through the Andes mountains to arrive at El Cajas National Park, known for its glacial lakes and high mountain vegetation.

Take a walk through this beautiful park to see some of its clear lakes and untouched forest, before visiting the “3 Cruses”, which marks the continental water division. Lunch will be provided on the way. After the walk through El Cajas, continue to Cuenca, where you will spend the night.

Day 3 - Friday:

Start you day with breakfast and a city tour of Cuenca, travelling through the city to visit Calderon Park, the New and the Old Cathedral, the Flower Market, and the Modern Art Museum.

Then, stop at the Homero Ortega Panama Hat factory to observe the entire process of manufacturing these classic hats. You will also have a chance to see the local Broken Bridge and visit the Turi lookout point, for fantastic panoramic views of the whole city of Cuenca.

Day 4 - Saturday:

After breakfast, transfer from Cuenca to Alausí for the train portion of the tour. From Alausí, enjoy a train ride towards the famous Devil’s Nose, a remarkable stretch of railway deep in the Andes (the train ride takes approximately 2 hours).

Head towards Quito in the afternoon through the Avenue of the Volcanoes, where you’ll have the chance to see the Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui, Los Ilinizas, Corazón, and Pichincha volcanoes, among others.

Day 5 - Sunday:
Depart from Quito through the Pan-American North Highway via Cayambe and enjoy a brief stop at Guachalá, the old equatorial monument. Savor the delicious Bizcochos de Cayambe, a type of cracker or bread baked in a clay oven that tastes great when paired with cheese or a caramel sauce. Afterwards, head to a rose farm and discover the process behind growing the world famous Ecuadorian Roses. Continue to Otavalo where the native Otavaleños run a local market where you can barter for a variety of different handcrafted items.

Choose to stay longer in Otavalo or visit the leather shops at Cotacachi.

** Rose plantation does not operate on Sundays

** Bus will wait for 10 minutes in Otavalo to pick up passangers that stayed there, after that will return to Quito with passengers that are on board.

Day 6 - Monday:

Take a tourist route along the most important areas of the city, including shopping centers and Zona Rosa "La Mariscal" (bars and restaurants), where most of the hotels in Quito are located. Continue towards the historic center to visit its churches and major landmarks, explore each of its corners at your own pace from the door of your hotel.

Continue towards the northern part of the city heading up to the “Middle of the World City” (entrance included) where the monument that divides the Northern from the Southern Hemisphere will be observed. Built during the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the equatorial line, this is one sight not to be missed!
