Following the Footsteps of César Manrique: Four Art Centers

5. Following the Footsteps of César Manrique: Four Art Centers

César, a multidisciplinary artist, painter, sculptor, conservator of monuments and tourist resorts, designer of landscapes and gardens, and recognized ecologist, created from natural volcanic accidents a tendency that impacted the world. He managed to unite Art, Urbanism and Tourism in a single concept, under a philosophy and model of urban intervention based on sustainability and respect for the natural values of the territory, into what is now a world reference. The Island would be different without the Monument to the Peasant, Los Jameos del Agua, Mirador del Río, Cactus Garden or the Cave of the Greens. It would certainly be less attractive and with much less personality. Not visiting these Centers and works of art, being able to interpret them, is like not even having travelled here. This tour offers you the opportunity to discover the North of Lanzarote having a panoramic of Haría, Riscos de Famara and Volcán de la Corona. You will have the privilege to visit the art centers of Cesar Manrique such as Monument to the Peasant, Cactus Garden, Mirador del Río and Fundación César Manrique. Choose if you wish to visit Jameos del Agua or Cueva de los Verdes, two marvelous art centers which are a must in your visit to Lanzarote.

You can see why it's such a highly rated tour. 3 hours thrashing around in these fun little buggies.. what's not to like? The tour itself is great, you cover a good distance on the island, get up nice and high so you can see both sides of the island at once. Nice mix of real road, track and off road. Scenery is stunning, and the buggies are fun to drive. They're speed limited, but not crazy low like others I've used, so you can actually have a bit of fun with them (if you can work out how to put them in sport mode ). The staff are really friendly, happy to help, and the fact we were picked up and dropped off from where we were staying was a huge bonus. Honestly one of the most fun excursions I've had.

To start from the beginning upon making the booking I was sent a WhatsApp message by the company in relation to the booking. The days until the booking I was provided with more information including the exact pickup time, location, photo of the location and a picture of the bus. All of this meant I knew exactly where to be and what time for the excursion. The bus arrived a little late but we got to our first destination at exactly the right time so all was well. Our driver angel and guide Nazaret were both brilliant and made the experience pleasurable. I would reccomend this company and this excursion both.

What a fantastic experience. 2 hours of bumpy thrills and spectacular views. The guide was cool, taking pictures whilst operating a buggy doesn't look easy but he managed to do just that. You get your own 5 minute photoshoot where you follow in your buggy behind him and he takes pictures at various angles. It's breezy out there and whilst they do provide a jacket and goggles, I'd recommend wearing warm clothing (and clothes you don't mind getting a bit mucky). A fantastic experience to add to our memories of a great holiday

The buggy ride was amazing with beautiful views, some parts scary as your driving next to a very deep drop but if your a thrill seeker you'll love this. One tip would be to wrap up warm especially around your face area as at times when you are driving fast can be freezing & windy. Great experience

Really great fun, well run, and just such a good experience, very highly recommended
