We very much enjoyed the tour overall. The ride to the river was fun and the guide on the transport (who is Bri Bri) was very interesting and charismatic. Note there are no seatbelts though! Once we were dropped off our guide Sara did not seem keen to engage and spent a lot of time messaging or talking on her phone. The trip down the river was beautiful and peaceful and Sara was very knowledgable about wildlife and did respond in a friendly manner if we spoke to her. We saw howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, iguanas, many different birds and there was a rather inconspicuous Sloth. The Casados back at The Boathouse was excellent particularly the Chicken which was tender and delicious, the coffee was also very smooth. The walk around the farm was interesting and informative although we felt sorry for the animals in their metal and concrete pens. We also extracted sugar cane juice and tried it which was a nice experience. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We had such an amazing day! Moses was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the animals, plants and ecosystem of the river. He found many creatures that live there, including many different birds, reptiles and even howler monkeys! It was peaceful, yet educational, at the same time. After the tour, we had a delicious lunch and a tour of a working farm, including learning about plants and animals that are raised there. We ended our day with watching how sugarcane can be pressed into juice and enjoyed a fresh glass. What an amazing experience. We highly recommend this trip and ask for Moses!!

Gravy was absolutely phenomenal as our guide. We told him the things we’d like to see and he purposely watched for them, pulled the boat over and let us view them. He educated us so much about wildlife, plants, and Costa Rica in general. The boat ride was SO peaceful and amazing. Lunch was excellent and the farm tour was great as we got to pet the animals and learn about the plants. Great job Gravy and thank you so much for a wonderful tour that we will always remember!

A great way to see the turtle hatching and the mamas to laying their eggs. I recommend to use shoes that can get wet.

I wish we had actually gone to guatil instead of having a small demonstration at the lunch.
